microGreens, MEGAGoodness!

Microgreens are tiny, edible versions of vegetables and herbs, harvested just a few weeks after they sprout. Think of them as baby plants with a big punch—they’re packed with nutrients and flavour! They’re not quite sprouts, which are harvested even earlier, and they’re not full-grown plants, but they offer the best of both worlds!

These little greens are like nature’s multivitamins, bursting with up to 40 times more nutrients than mature veggies. They’re loaded with vitamins A, C, and K, plus minerals like iron and calcium.

What to Do When You Take Home a Freshly Sown Microgreen Tray

01

Find the Right Spot:

Place your tray in a spot with plenty of natural light, like a windowsill. If sunlight is limited, use a grow light to ensure they get enough light for healthy growth..

02

Keep the Soil Moist:

Check the soil daily and lightly mist it with water to keep it moist, but not soggy. Proper moisture helps the seeds germinate and grow quickly.

03

Watch for Germination:

Within 2-3 days, you should see tiny sprouts starting to appear. This means your microgreens are on the right track!

05

Let Them Grow:

Over the next week, your microgreens will grow taller and develop their first true leaves. Continue to water them lightly as needed.

04

Give Them Air:

Ensure good air circulation around your tray to prevent mold. You can use a small fan or just make sure the area isn’t too humid.

06

Harvest Time:

In 7-14 days, your microgreens will be ready to harvest! Use scissors to cut them just above the soil line, and enjoy them fresh in your meals.

07

Enjoy the Freshness:

Add your freshly harvested microgreens to salads, sandwiches, or any dish for a nutritious and flavorful boost!
